Another experiment delves into the ancient Egyptians’ obsession with the afterlife. Sean-Paul will reveal his copy of the Egyptian Book of the Dead and use the remains of a mummy he acquired from a wealthy family in Newport, Rhode Island to recite an actual Egyptian script from one of the rituals in the book. The Heart Stopper (literally?) will include an experiment based on the work of Dr. James Esdaile and deep hypnosis. Esdaile was a surgeon who went to India and began his work using hypnosis to help people experience more comfortable and effective surgeries. The experiment will involve an old Victorian Dentist Chair and a medical professional that will monitor Sean-Paul’s vitals as he goes into trance and try to slow and maybe stop his heart.
